The purpose of the workspace project was to emphasize your own workspace, so the observer would see the piece and know who made it. I approached this by making an Isometric design of my workspace in Adobe Illustrator, then stripped it down into purely its outlines. I exported the outlines as an image and brought it into Adobe After Effects, for this reason I could animate the piece so that laser lines would draw the design over a few seconds. I then started working in Blender where I 3D modeled my workspace that consisted of; desk, speakers, monitors, iPad, phone, keyboard, mouse, video game controller, sketchbook, pencil, three art pieces on wall with lights, and room boundaries. Once everything was 3D modeled I set a custom camera rig that ran along a specific path to get the shots that I wanted, therefore I could animate the view of my workspace. I exported / rendered out of blender into Adobe Premiere Pro where I spliced the animation of laser lines from Adobe After Effects, the illustration from Adobe Illustrator, and the animation from Blender together with some music, to create ambiance in the background.
